Sterlite Power bags ₹1,200 cr orders in Q2, key demand in conductors, cables

New Delhi: Sterlite Power has bagged new orders worth ₹1,200 crore in Q2 FY25, bringing its total order book for H1 FY25 to ₹2,700 crore, the company said in a statement. The orders span across high-performance conductors, Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) products, and power cables, with significant demand both domestically and internationally, the company said.The company secured ₹800 crore in orders for conductors and OPGW products, with major domestic contracts for Green Energy Transmission projects like the Angul-Paradeep, Yalwar, and Runija-Indore transmission lines. Export demand for high-performance conductors came from the United States, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, Sterlite Power noted.
“This growth is driven by our focus on customer-centric solutions and the adoption of modern technologies,” said Reshu Madan, CEO, Global Products and Services. "India’s first 144-fiber count OPGW cable order from a state utility underscores our capabilities in developing specialized products.”
The company’s power cable segment saw ₹380 crore in orders in Q2 FY25, spanning Medium Voltage (MV), High Voltage (HV), and Extra High Voltage (EHV) cables, primarily from state utilities and PSUs, officials said.
